Testimonials

A wonderful woman with a warm heart and abundance of talent, proving there are no barriers only challenges to be overcome.
— Kim Kleidon, Morning Presenter, ABC Tropical North Radio Station, Mackay
Nekea continues to be an inspiration for many in both the art world and in the autism community and beyond.
— Debbie Brooker, Volunteer Co-ordinator, Mackay Autism Support Group
The intricacies and ‘left of centre’ perspective of Nekea’s artwork really appeals to me. I rock the Jigsaw t-shirt which symbolises wonderfully the ‘puzzled’ world of people on the Autistic Spectrum in relation to interactions with other people and the world in general. The trouble is when I buy these beautiful works as gifts; it’s difficult to give them away.
— Paula Watts, Assistant Coordinator of Mackay & District Spinal Injuries Assoc Inc
Highly recommend Nekea as a professional artist who endeavours to give her clients exactly what is requested.
— Teena Quin, Pet Pantry Products
Nekea is a real person who has battled, yet come through with shining success. A true inspiration and evidence what can happen when determination and a vision. I know she can make a huge difference in many students’ lives.
— Jen Britton, SEP Teacher Aide, Mackay North State High School
Meeting and working with Nekea has been a delight. Nothing was too difficult or any trouble for her.
— Ann-Marie Watson, Team Leader, Autism Queensland Limited
She talks about her achievements with pride, especially when she is helping younger ones unleash and develop their skills. She is a natural mentor, a great example of courage and strength.
— Vivien Hanrahan, Trainer/Assessor Novaskill (Mackay), Member of the Board Zonta Club of Mackay
